Lance G. Allen

Lance is the VP of Table Game Operations at FireKeepers Casino Hotel. He has over 30 years’ experience in the Gaming industry, starting out as a craps dealer in New Jersey. Lance has worked in both corporate gaming as well as Tribal gaming and has worked in various jurisdictions from New Jersey to California. Lance was part of the executive team that was responsible for the successful opening of FireKeepers. In his current position he oversees Table Games, Poker and Bingo.

Lance and his wife Peecoon enjoy everything outdoors and are avid snow skiers, paddleboarders and enjoy yoga. They are active in their local community, are passionate about food, and love to travel.

Walter R. Allen
Senior Director of Player Development, Choctaw Casino and Resort

Walter Allen is the Director of Player Development for Choctaw Casinos of Oklahoma. Walter joined the Choctaw family four years ago after spending seven years with Caesars Entertainment in the Harrahs and Horseshoe brands. While at Caesars, he held positions as Director of Marketing Services and Director of Casino Marketing. Prior to Walter’s gaming career he spent 17 years in Brand Marketing and Sales with Anheuser-Busch, Inc. where he worked on the Budweiser and Bud Light brands. Walter is a firm believer in driving VIP Casino revenues via a selling centric point of view. He believes that the VizExplorer suite of products allows key staff to be armed with the most up to date information allowing them to make solid and profitable decisions.

Chris Archunde
Director of Marketing, Port Madison Enterprises / Clearwater Casino

As a native New Mexican, Chris began her gaming career in Albuquerque where she was on the opening teams of Isleta Casino & Resort and Route 66 Casino Hotel.  Chris joined the marketing team at Santa Ana Star Casino during their first major system install which launched New Mexico’s first non-cashable credit component.  Chris was Director of Marketing for the team in San Juan, Puerto Rico that built and managed the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center Hotel & Casino.  This site also launched Puerto Rico’s first non-cashable credit component.  Back in the states, after a demanding few years of consulting with six Native American Casinos and one New Zealand Casino; Chris joined the team at Port Madison Enterprises’ Clearwater Casino Resort as Director of Marketing.  The firsts continued at this site with first in Washington State to launch downloadable credits and system driven virtual drawings.  Chris credits her success to a foundation in casino operations and database management and an evolution of business development and leadership skills honed through almost 20 years in Gaming, Hospitality and Entertainment industries.

Jason Bonner

As VizExplorer’s VP of Product Management, Jason Bonner leads product initiatives across gaming, manufacturing, and sports and entertainment verticals. In this role, Jason is responsible for guiding current and future product development efforts for VizExplorer customers across industries. His eight years of experience in the software industry spans digital marketing, client services, customer success and product management. Jason holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and Business from the College of Arts and Science and the Questrom School of Business at Boston University.
Michael J. Broderick
General Manager, Sherwood Valley Casino

Michael J. Broderick is General Manager of Sherwood Valley Casino, a business wholly owned and operated by the Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians in Willits, CA. Broderick brings over 25 years of experience in gaming and resort management to his position and he is very well known for being a creative thinker with innovative and compelling solutions for day to day operational challenges all the while leveraging big data into profitable outcomes. In his current position, he is responsible for the overall management and success of this key Tribal enterprise. Prior to the Sherwood Valley Casino, Broderick served as the general manager for the Cahuilla Casino and Mountain Sky Travel Center in Anza, California. His specialties include areas of creative marketing and data driven floor promotions, leveraging “brand ambassadors” and “value touch points” to differentiate from the competition, Database Marketing, Strategic Analytics, Casino Gaming Operations, Hotel/Resort Operations, Tribal Business Development, and Casino Gaming Expansion and Financing. Broderick is Harvard University Graduate School certified and a former degree candidate at Harvard University Extension School, and he received his bachelor's degree and M.B.A. in business management from California Coast University in Santa Ana, California and his associate in science degree in business administration from the Corporacion National de Education Professional in Santiago, Chile. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

Vince Catalano

Vince is the Director of Gaming Operations, responsible for floorViz and techViz on the VizExplorer team. He has over 13 years of progressive leadership experience within the gaming industry. Prior to joining VizExplorer, Vince was in the position of Director of Slot Operations at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. In his capacity, Vince was responsible for slot strategy formulation and implementation. Throughout his experience, Vince has developed a passion for in-depth slot analytics and player behavior which collectively lend themselves to provide insights into game placement and the optimization of product mix. Through this, he has been able to affect strategic business growth. Vince has a proven record of accomplishment within the gaming industry creating strategies for casino operators. Vince earned his undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida and his MBA from the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Todd Cravens

Todd Cravens was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Gaming in July of 2017. Mr. Cravens previously served as our Vice President of Business Development, a position he had held between January 2017 and July 2017.  Prior to joining Galaxy Gaming, Mr. Cravens served as the Chief Executive Officer of Americas for TCS/John Huxley (a leader in table games products for casinos around the world) from 2013 to 2016.  He also served as President of AGS Illinois and Vice President and General Manager of the Illinois Operations of AGS (a leading designer and supplier of electronic gaming machines and other products and services for the gaming industry) from 2010 to 2011.
Steve Dahle

Steve Dahle is Director of Database Marketing at Mystic Lake and Little Six Casino just outside of Minneapolis, MN.  In his role, he leads the Database and Loyalty Program teams, utilizing digital channels to effectively execute reinvestment strategy for the gaming enterprise. 

Steve spent 12 years at Caesars Entertainment (formerly Harrah’s Entertainment), serving as Regional Vice President of Data Analytics and six years as Sr. Vice President of Loyalty Marketing for The Fine Point Group, a leading consultancy for the gaming industry.

Jill R. Dorson has covered everything from steeplechase to the NFL and then some during a more than 30-year career in sports journalism. The highlight of her career was covering Oakland Raiders during the Charles Woodson/Jon Gruden era, including the infamous “Snow Bowl” and the Raiders’ 2003 trip to Super Bowl XXXVII.

Dorson has covered sports all over the United States and was on staff at the Loudon (Va.) Times-Mirror, Poughkeepsie (NY) Journal, New Orleans Times-Picayune, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Santa Rosa (Calif.) Press-Democrat. In 1998, she moved to San Francisco and started what is now a 20-year freelance odyssey, interrupted by seven years as the owner of a bed and breakfast. Known even in some sports circles as a great baker, Dorson was married to award-winning sports and political journalist Samuel Chi.
Besides hanging out with her daughter, Dorson loves to travel, with Las Vegas as a frequent destination. Her favorite sports betting experience was watching the inning-by-inning score in a Las Vegas sports book after betting the Red Sox behind knuckleballer Tim Wakefield … in a game that wasn’t aired in Las Vegas. She won. Born in New Hampshire, Dorson is a lifelong Red Sox fan who was lucky enough to have a seat at Fenway during the ’04 World Series. Besides that, Dorson enjoys watching the Olympics, golf, the NFL and her daughter show jump.
Dorson lives in San Diego county, overlooking Camp Pendleton and with a long view to the ocean. She lives with her daughter, two dogs and a cat.
John English

Mr. English specializes in global business development for the regulated gaming industry, with emphasis on technology, content, distribution, public relations, and contract negotiation.  Mr. English’s work history contains an extensive background in gaming, including lottery, AWP, slots, table games, sweepstakes, systems, and race and sports betting both digital and live.

Mr. English has been involved in many successful industry developments.  One of Mr. English’s endeavors was previously an equity partner with American Wagering Incorporated, the first company to receive Nevada Gaming Control Board approval for mobile sports betting within Nevada.  Mr. English created the first betting app in the U.S. to be distributed from the Apple App Store.  Additionally, he created the first kiosk sports betting device (SBX) to gain regulatory approval and to be mass released.  Furthermore, Mr. English created Million Dollar Ticket which was licensed by the State of Nevada for a bonus game played in restricted gaming locations.

Mr. English has developed worldwide relationships, spending a great deal of his career in jurisdictions such as Asia, Canada, U.K., South America, and Mexico.  Mr. English was instrumental in the acquisition of American Wagering by William Hill, the world’s largest bookmaker, who received Nevada Gaming Commission approval.

Mr. English joined Betfair and TVG, a London listed company in late 2013 to oversee the development of Asia and the Americas.  More recently, he was the Founder and the President of WEBE Worldwide, a global operator, developer, and distributor of sports betting, social, casino, and lottery products for the regulated gaming industry.  With offices in U.S. and China, WEBE specialized in operating land based, mobile, and online sportsbooks as well as developing new and innovative gaming content and convenience betting platforms.  As President, John’s duties were to lead the company’s growth, innovations, and maintenance while WEBE sought to revolutionize industry standards.

Buddy Frank
Principal Consultant, BF Slot Strategies

Raised in Northern Nevada, Buddy has been hooked on gaming since he used crayons to mark his mom’s Keno tickets (while dining on “Awful Awful” burgers at the Sparks Nugget). He started covering casinos as a TV journalist in Reno after graduation from UNR. After a decade of reporting, he made the transition first to casino marketing and eventually slot operations. After 30 years with various casinos, he recently retired from Pechanga Resort & Casino in southern California to spend more time with his wife and three new granddaughters. He now runs a consulting service (BF Slot Strategies) where his focus remains on slot performance, systems, analytics and team training. He has taught classes on gaming/marketing in the past with San Diego State and now is doing the same with UNR.  His non-gaming interests are cycling, underwater photography, model trains, Nevada history, UNR sports, and fixing his ever-broken sprinkler system.

Malyssa is an Operations Assistant for the Cage/Slot department at Suquamish Clearwater Casino. She began her career in the gaming industry in 2015 as their Administrative Assistant before moving to her current position in 2016. There, her duties include analyzing slot and financial data, and creating and implementing game change strategies. Malyssa holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in International Business from Boise State University.
Mick Ingersoll

Mick Ingersoll has 15 years of Player Development and VIP Marketing experience, including nine years at Penn Gaming. In 2018, Mick took over Training and Education for Atrient and was named ‘40 Under 40’ by Global Gaming and Emerging Leaders of Gaming. Lana Kotur

Jeff Kowalchuk

Jeff Kowalchuk is currently a Table Games consultant with VizExplorer based in Las Vegas with an expansive operational background in Gaming, and more than 25 years of casino industry experience. Jeff has established himself as one of the leading subject matter experts for Table Games in the casino industry having held multiple senior level positions on both the operational and vendor side of the business. Jeff’s career path has been quite unique breaking into the casino business in Florida in 1993 as a Craps dealer before quickly being promoted into a Casino Operations GM role where he opened, acquired and operated 6 casino concessions in Florida and Costa Rica.

In 2001, Jeff moved to Las Vegas where he began a 14 year career with Caesars Entertainment that started as a Table Games Supervisor at Harrah’s Las Vegas before being selected to start up the company’s first ever corporate Table Games leadership group in 2005. Over the next 10 years Jeff held the positions of Corporate Director of Table Games & Technology and Enterprise VP of Table Games where he oversaw 3000+ table games across 50+ properties around the world. Since leaving Caesars in 2014, Jeff has transitioned over to the vendor side of the business where he has provided strategic direction in the areas of Table Games product and technology, most recently as the VP Product Development at Interblock.

Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University and currently resides in Henderson, Nevada with his two daughters. He has received numerous awards and recognitions including the Executive Excellence in Leadership Award, and the Chairman’s Award for Innovation from Caesers Entertainment after creating the industry’s first $1,000,000 Table Games jackpot with his Three Card Poker ‘6 Card Bonus’ side bet.

Jak Lysowski
Director of Gaming Analytics, Caesars Entertainment Corporation

Jak joined Caesars as a temporary employee working the snack stand cash register at 2014 WSOP and was quickly taken on full-time as swing shift supervisor of the Rio’s gift shops. In 2015, he transitioned to corporate analytics where he focused on slot and table game performance, and co-patenting a baccarat side bet. In late 2016, Jak moved to a vendor facing role as the Manager of Gaming Products. Here he was responsible for enterprise-wide slot conversions and participation footprint, identifying new table game trial opportunities, but he is best known for winning himself a brand new convertible sportscar at the 2016 G2E showcase! Most recently, Jak has taken on a leadership role within corporate analytics team as Director of Gaming Analytics. Jak holds a B.S in Statistics from Penn State and is an active student mentor through the university’s Casino Management program.  Jak grew up in a family of dice dealers, card players, and all-around gamblers. He enjoys weekend vacations in Reno and Laughlin and is always up for a game of Scrabble!

Michael Michaud

Over the past 27 years, Michael has held almost every position in a casino. David Patent

Throughout his career in the Gaming industry, David has been an innovator bringing relentless focus on creating great experiences for customers and employees to enhance value creation. An honors graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School, David joined the Gaming industry in 2001 after practicing law, serving as a senior consultant for McKinsey & Co., and founding an innovative online startup.

David began his Gaming career with Harrah’s Entertainment as Vice President of Slot Revenue Management and later Vice President of Enterprise Gaming, leveraging sophisticated enterprise-wide analytics to improve the Company’s product selection, placement, and pricing, driving over $2B of incremental revenue. David spent several years as a senior operations leader in the Midwest and Las Vegas, guiding the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the Flamingo Casino and Hotel to record revenue and EBITDA during his tenure.

David then became a co-founder and President/COO of Rush Street Gaming in 2009, the fastest organically growing domestic gaming company at the time -- opening four new casinos in three years and securing a license for Rivers Casino Schenectady, which opened in 2017. Jennifer Roberts

Jennifer Roberts is the Associate Director of the International Center for Gaming Regulation at University of Nevada Las Vegas.  Ms. Roberts was previously a partner at Duane Morris LLP.  Prior to that, she was a shareholder in the Gaming & Regulatory Department of Lionel Sawyer & Collins.  Her gaming law practice included representation of clients in all areas of gaming law, including licensing, compliance, and gaming law and regulatory development.  Ms. Roberts’ current legal practice includes alcohol beverage licensing and compliance, as well as land use and zoning, business licensing, and regulatory and administrative law. 

Ms. Roberts is an adjunct professor at the William S. Boyd School of Law, teaching courses on introduction to gaming law, gaming law policy, fundamentals of casino operations and management, and resort hotel casino law.  She is also an adjunct professor in gaming law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

Since that time, Schrementi has helped create the emerging marketing strategy for the company's casino gaming initiative in 2007. Dr. Thomas is Senior Advisor of Gaming & Data Science to VizExplorer, a software company specializing in operational intelligence solutions for casinos. A gaming industry veteran, Dr. Thomas has substantial experience implementing analytics into single and multi-property gaming companies to drive tangible and measurable gains to the bottom line. Prior to joining VizExplorer, he was the VP of Strategic Analysis and Database Marketing at Seminole Gaming, where he helped oversee seven properties in the Florida market. He also spent four years in various roles at Station Casinos in Las Vegas. Dr. Thomas understands gaming from raw data up through casino operations, giving him a unique, 360 degree view of the industry, which he applies daily in the development of VizExplorer solutions. His specialties include areas of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Tools, Casino Marketing, Database Marketing, Strategic Analytics, Casino Gaming Operations, Casino Gaming Floor Design. He has a B.A. & M.S. of Mathematics from the University of Chicago, a M.Phl. of Mathematics from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in Pure & Applied Mathematics from UNLV. the first such Ph.D. awarded in the state of Nevada.
Jordan Whitten
Director, Gaming Operations and Consulting Specialist, VizExplorer

Based in Las Vegas, Jordan Whitten is the Director of Gaming Operations and Consulting Specialist for VizExplorer. In this capacity, he oversees all aspects of VizExplorer’s Slot Operations based consulting engagements from the sales cycle through successful completion of all engagement objectives. He is an advanced-level user and subject-matter expert for floorViz, having worked with over 70 properties worldwide ranging in size from less than 300 to over 5,000 slot machines. Jordan spent his formative gaming years in the slot operations departments of casinos in Colorado, Nevada, and Mississippi. It is there where he developed his interest and expertise in slot analytics, location optimization and strategic game mix decision-making. Jordan received his MBA with from Mississippi State University.

Darren Withers
Owner/Casino Digital Consultant, NV Strategies
Darren Withers is an independent consultant focused on the communications experience for hospitality guests and casino players. Most recently, Withers served as Director of Sales for JOINGO, the casino industry's leading mobile engagement platform. Prior to  that, Withers was Executive Vice President/General Manager of mobileStorm, the leading casino email & SMS provider at the time, where he oversaw all mobileStorm client operations, strategic partnerships and sales activities. Withers built his career in Las Vegas with VIRGEN Digital Brand Marketing, a top casino-branding firm specializing in high-end casino direct mail campaigns during his tenure. With 16 years of experience providing marketing guidance to the gaming industry, Withers uses his deep knowledge of key casino marketing channels to build successful digital and mobile marketing strategies to engage players in innovative ways. Withers is a contributor for Casino Journal on casino mobile marketing and developed the first Mobile Experience & Engagement Training (MEET) Day at the Casino Marketing and Technology Conference held at Caesars Palace Las Vegas on July 17, 2018.

Angie Huang
Director of Cage/Slot Operations, Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
After selling her share of 240' floating fishing process in Alaska, Angie Huang moved to Vegas and briefly worked at a casino before moving to Washington to join the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort in 1997.  There she started in table games before moving over to slot operations in 2002. Working in slot operations, Angie takes pride in helping her property operate more efficiently to serve their guests and improve profitability.
