Lance is the VP of Table Game Operations at FireKeepers Casino Hotel. He has over 30 years’ experience in the Gaming industry, starting out as a craps dealer in New Jersey. Lance has worked in both corporate gaming as well as Tribal gaming and has worked in various jurisdictions from New Jersey to California. Lance was part of the executive team that was responsible for the successful opening of FireKeepers. In his current position he oversees Table Games, Poker and Bingo.
Lance and his wife Peecoon enjoy everything outdoors and are avid snow skiers, paddleboarders and enjoy yoga. They are active in their local community, are passionate about food, and love to travel.
Walter Allen is the Director of Player Development for Choctaw Casinos of Oklahoma. Walter joined the Choctaw family four years ago after spending seven years with Caesars Entertainment in the Harrahs and Horseshoe brands. While at Caesars, he held positions as Director of Marketing Services and Director of Casino Marketing. Prior to Walter’s gaming career he spent 17 years in Brand Marketing and Sales with Anheuser-Busch, Inc. where he worked on the Budweiser and Bud Light brands. Walter is a firm believer in driving VIP Casino revenues via a selling centric point of view. He believes that the VizExplorer suite of products allows key staff to be armed with the most up to date information allowing them to make solid and profitable decisions.
As a native New Mexican, Chris began her gaming career in Albuquerque where she was on the opening teams of Isleta Casino & Resort and Route 66 Casino Hotel. Chris joined the marketing team at Santa Ana Star Casino during their first major system install which launched New Mexico’s first non-cashable credit component. Chris was Director of Marketing for the team in San Juan, Puerto Rico that built and managed the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center Hotel & Casino. This site also launched Puerto Rico’s first non-cashable credit component. Back in the states, after a demanding few years of consulting with six Native American Casinos and one New Zealand Casino; Chris joined the team at Port Madison Enterprises’ Clearwater Casino Resort as Director of Marketing. The firsts continued at this site with first in Washington State to launch downloadable credits and system driven virtual drawings. Chris credits her success to a foundation in casino operations and database management and an evolution of business development and leadership skills honed through almost 20 years in Gaming, Hospitality and Entertainment industries.
Michael J. Broderick is General Manager of Sherwood Valley Casino, a business wholly owned and operated by the Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians in Willits, CA. Broderick brings over 25 years of experience in gaming and resort management to his position and he is very well known for being a creative thinker with innovative and compelling solutions for day to day operational challenges all the while leveraging big data into profitable outcomes. In his current position, he is responsible for the overall management and success of this key Tribal enterprise. Prior to the Sherwood Valley Casino, Broderick served as the general manager for the Cahuilla Casino and Mountain Sky Travel Center in Anza, California. His specialties include areas of creative marketing and data driven floor promotions, leveraging “brand ambassadors” and “value touch points” to differentiate from the competition, Database Marketing, Strategic Analytics, Casino Gaming Operations, Hotel/Resort Operations, Tribal Business Development, and Casino Gaming Expansion and Financing. Broderick is Harvard University Graduate School certified and a former degree candidate at Harvard University Extension School, and he received his bachelor's degree and M.B.A. in business management from California Coast University in Santa Ana, California and his associate in science degree in business administration from the Corporacion National de Education Professional in Santiago, Chile. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Vince is the Director of Gaming Operations, responsible for floorViz and techViz on the VizExplorer team. He has over 13 years of progressive leadership experience within the gaming industry. Prior to joining VizExplorer, Vince was in the position of Director of Slot Operations at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. In his capacity, Vince was responsible for slot strategy formulation and implementation. Throughout his experience, Vince has developed a passion for in-depth slot analytics and player behavior which collectively lend themselves to provide insights into game placement and the optimization of product mix. Through this, he has been able to affect strategic business growth. Vince has a proven record of accomplishment within the gaming industry creating strategies for casino operators. Vince earned his undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida and his MBA from the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Steve Dahle is Director of Database Marketing at Mystic Lake and Little Six Casino just outside of Minneapolis, MN. In his role, he leads the Database and Loyalty Program teams, utilizing digital channels to effectively execute reinvestment strategy for the gaming enterprise.
Steve spent 12 years at Caesars Entertainment (formerly Harrah’s Entertainment), serving as Regional Vice President of Data Analytics and six years as Sr. Vice President of Loyalty Marketing for The Fine Point Group, a leading consultancy for the gaming industry.
Jill R. Dorson has covered everything from steeplechase to the NFL and then some during a more than 30-year career in sports journalism. The highlight of her career was covering Oakland Raiders during the Charles Woodson/Jon Gruden era, including the infamous “Snow Bowl” and the Raiders’ 2003 trip to Super Bowl XXXVII.
Mr. English specializes in global business development for the regulated gaming industry, with emphasis on technology, content, distribution, public relations, and contract negotiation. Mr. English’s work history contains an extensive background in gaming, including lottery, AWP, slots, table games, sweepstakes, systems, and race and sports betting both digital and live.
Mr. English has been involved in many successful industry developments. One of Mr. English’s endeavors was previously an equity partner with American Wagering Incorporated, the first company to receive Nevada Gaming Control Board approval for mobile sports betting within Nevada. Mr. English created the first betting app in the U.S. to be distributed from the Apple App Store. Additionally, he created the first kiosk sports betting device (SBX) to gain regulatory approval and to be mass released. Furthermore, Mr. English created Million Dollar Ticket which was licensed by the State of Nevada for a bonus game played in restricted gaming locations.
Mr. English has developed worldwide relationships, spending a great deal of his career in jurisdictions such as Asia, Canada, U.K., South America, and Mexico. Mr. English was instrumental in the acquisition of American Wagering by William Hill, the world’s largest bookmaker, who received Nevada Gaming Commission approval.
Mr. English joined Betfair and TVG, a London listed company in late 2013 to oversee the development of Asia and the Americas. More recently, he was the Founder and the President of WEBE Worldwide, a global operator, developer, and distributor of sports betting, social, casino, and lottery products for the regulated gaming industry. With offices in U.S. and China, WEBE specialized in operating land based, mobile, and online sportsbooks as well as developing new and innovative gaming content and convenience betting platforms. As President, John’s duties were to lead the company’s growth, innovations, and maintenance while WEBE sought to revolutionize industry standards.
Raised in Northern Nevada, Buddy has been hooked on gaming since he used crayons to mark his mom’s Keno tickets (while dining on “Awful Awful” burgers at the Sparks Nugget). He started covering casinos as a TV journalist in Reno after graduation from UNR. After a decade of reporting, he made the transition first to casino marketing and eventually slot operations. After 30 years with various casinos, he recently retired from Pechanga Resort & Casino in southern California to spend more time with his wife and three new granddaughters. He now runs a consulting service (BF Slot Strategies) where his focus remains on slot performance, systems, analytics and team training. He has taught classes on gaming/marketing in the past with San Diego State and now is doing the same with UNR. His non-gaming interests are cycling, underwater photography, model trains, Nevada history, UNR sports, and fixing his ever-broken sprinkler system.

Jak joined Caesars as a temporary employee working the snack stand cash register at 2014 WSOP and was quickly taken on full-time as swing shift supervisor of the Rio’s gift shops. In 2015, he transitioned to corporate analytics where he focused on slot and table game performance, and co-patenting a baccarat side bet. In late 2016, Jak moved to a vendor facing role as the Manager of Gaming Products. Here he was responsible for enterprise-wide slot conversions and participation footprint, identifying new table game trial opportunities, but he is best known for winning himself a brand new convertible sportscar at the 2016 G2E showcase! Most recently, Jak has taken on a leadership role within corporate analytics team as Director of Gaming Analytics. Jak holds a B.S in Statistics from Penn State and is an active student mentor through the university’s Casino Management program. Jak grew up in a family of dice dealers, card players, and all-around gamblers. He enjoys weekend vacations in Reno and Laughlin and is always up for a game of Scrabble!
Over the past 27 years, Michael has held almost every position in a casino. But for the past 20 years, he has focused strictly on marketing, honing his skills and creativity to bring gamblers from around the world the best out of the box promotions. David most recently was the founder and CEO of Patent Enterprises LLC, where he provided analytic insights to gaming operators and slot manufacturers, led a major management turnaround at Jamul Casino in San Diego, and worked on casino development and redevelopment opportunities.
Throughout his career in the Gaming industry, David has been an innovator bringing relentless focus on creating great experiences for customers and employees to enhance value creation. An honors graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School, David joined the Gaming industry in 2001 after practicing law, serving as a senior consultant for McKinsey & Co., and founding an innovative online startup.
David began his Gaming career with Harrah’s Entertainment as Vice President of Slot Revenue Management and later Vice President of Enterprise Gaming, leveraging sophisticated enterprise-wide analytics to improve the Company’s product selection, placement, and pricing, driving over $2B of incremental revenue. David spent several years as a senior operations leader in the Midwest and Las Vegas, guiding the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the Flamingo Casino and Hotel to record revenue and EBITDA during his tenure.
David then became a co-founder and President/COO of Rush Street Gaming in 2009, the fastest organically growing domestic gaming company at the time -- opening four new casinos in three years and securing a license for Rivers Casino Schenectady, which opened in 2017. During his tenure, RSG’s properties reached over $1.1B in Net Revenues, enjoyed significant market share premiums, and won hundreds of “Best of Awards”.
Jennifer Roberts is the Associate Director of the International Center for Gaming Regulation at University of Nevada Las Vegas. Ms. Roberts was previously a partner at Duane Morris LLP. Prior to that, she was a shareholder in the Gaming & Regulatory Department of Lionel Sawyer & Collins. Her gaming law practice included representation of clients in all areas of gaming law, including licensing, compliance, and gaming law and regulatory development. Ms. Roberts’ current legal practice includes alcohol beverage licensing and compliance, as well as land use and zoning, business licensing, and regulatory and administrative law.
Ms. Roberts is an adjunct professor at the William S. Boyd School of Law, teaching courses on introduction to gaming law, gaming law policy, fundamentals of casino operations and management, and resort hotel casino law. She is also an adjunct professor in gaming law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.
